An automated guided vehicle system (AGVS) at the automobile manufacturer Porsche delivers assemblies and components from the automated storage areas (high-rack and small parts storage) to the production line.
Various automated guided vehicles (AGV) are in operation on the approximately 600 m long route. Pallets and lattice boxes are moved by a Phoenix GLT model fork truck that navigates freely and has dual-track chain conveyors and a shifter device for loading and unloading. The automated guided Phoenix GLT vehicles transport large custom pallets, also have dual-track chain conveyors, and can also travel forward and backward.
The system is controlled by MLR’s proprietary management and control software, LogOS.
