In the Jena University Clinic, 26 Caesar series automated guided drive-under tractors transport 400 rolling containers every day, carrying food, medications, laundry, sterile items, medical devices and waste.

The automated material transport system (AMT) connects the inpatient stations to the individual functional areas, such as the kitchen, pharmacy, warehouse and laundry.

The LogOS Hospital management and control software from MLR controls the freely navigating vehicles over several levels, allowing them to use elevators and travel into other buildings.

The transport containers are marked with barcodes that are read by the vehicles and forwarded to the LogOS Hospital control and management system from MLR. Using these data, LogOS manages the containers and always has an overview of their locations.
