The Dieffenbacher Group produces press systems and complete production lines for the wood and automotive industries and their suppliers. At their location in Eppingen, a Caesar series automated guided platform truck transports workpieces weighing several tonnes between the individual sections of the plants. The 6 meter long, 2.5 meter wide automated heavy-duty transporter is loaded at load change stations by means of loading cranes. The freely navigating vehicle is designed for loads of up to 63 tonnes. The driving course also includes a 140 meter long route through the outdoor area, including door passages and signaling and gate systems.
Coordination and control of the automated guided vehicle (AGV) and management of the transport commands are provided by the LogOS control and management system from MLR.
