At the packaging specialist Ball Packaging, an automated guided vehicle system (AGVS) from MLR organizes the transportation of pallets from the production lines to the three warehouses and to the goods issuing area.
The 600 mm high Caesar series platform trucks travel freely and are equipped with two transverse roller conveyors each. They pick up two pallets, weighing up to 300 kg and up to 3 meters in height, packed with beverage cans, bring them into a warehouse, and deposit them on two parallel chain conveyors.
In the goods issuing area, the automatic vehicles pick up the pallets from the materials handling system and bring them to one of the five conveyors for automatic truck loading.
