BSS as general contractor is planning and implementing an automated small parts storage for sheet steel trays and a pallet high bay storage, each with one aisle, for the new central warehouse in Heidenheim. The warehouse management system from BSS communicates with two customer SAP systems.
Trays and pallets are delivered from the two automated aisles to the order picking area with transfer carriages using the same handling equipment. If necessary, picked pallets are buffered in the high bay storage and can be delivered to the dispatch area for assembly when required.
The WMS manages several manually operated storerooms; the user dialogue enables the customer to independently create new storerooms.
