With its acquisition by SPIE Germany Switzerland Austria GmbH (SPIE GSA), a wholly owned subsidiary of SPIE S.A., ROFA INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AG is entering an exciting new chapter in its corporate development. Morath GmbH Honored as a Volunteer-Friendly Employer in Civil Protection16. February 2026We are pleased to announce that Morath Automatisierung GmbH has been honored by Interior Minister Thomas Strobl as a “Volunteer‑Friendly Employer in Civil Protection.”
This special recognition is awarded annually by the state of Baden‑Württemberg to companies that actively support their employees in carrying out volunteer work in civil protection.
A total of 34 companies were recognized for their commitment. During a ceremony on October 30, 2025, at the Kuppenheim event hall (Rastatt district), Interior Minister Strobl emphasized the vital importance of volunteerism for our society—particularly in times of major challenges and crises. Without volunteer engagement, Strobl noted, a functioning state would not be possible.
Sebastian Oser, Deputy District Administrator of the Rastatt district, highlighted the responsibility carried by employers: “Companies that support volunteer work in civil protection take responsibility for the safety of our entire community. This deserves great respect and sincere appreciation.”

With more than ten years of international experience at ROFA’s U.S. location, he brings extensive expertise in automation, project management, and corporate leadership. He will leverage this experience to strategically develop Morath Automatisierung GmbH and strengthen the company’s long-term growth and sustainability.With this realignment, Morath Automatisierung GmbH continues to focus on continuity, competence, and the long-term, future-oriented development of the company.
